Global Alert Platform and Grate Art Project

A summary of the Global Alert platform and App is included, which is a Clinton Global Initiative Project, and partly funded by the World Bank. This allows people to report trash hotspots, anywhere in the worlds waters and coastlines.

Also included is information on the new Grate Art project in Hong Kong, with eight local and mainland Chinese artists, creating Art for Awareness on the streets of Hong Kong, reminding people not to dump into storm drains. The tsunami that followed on the heels of the March 11, 2011, earthquake in Japan produced as much as 25 million tons of debris. Much of this debris was swept into the ocean.
